A small specialized guide service in Northern Indiana guiding on local waters include but not limited to; Yellow River, Tippecanoe, St. Joe. Little Elkhart, East Fork, Whitewater River, Trail Creek, Sugar Creek, Solomon Creek, Brookville Tailwater (White River), Pigeon River, Big Blue River and many more areas.
We started about 5 years ago coordinating with guides in Colorado and Montana to create a once in a lifetime trip for our clients (more under “Services”). After moving to Northern Indiana, we wanted to continue our passion for both fly fishing using traditional methods and the culinary arts. Thus, “Silk Lines Guide Services” was founded. We offer options using traditional Rods and or Bamboo rods with silk lines. We currently have two boats; one a wooden boat to give that extra feel of a bygone era.

Our services are not rushed and we thrive on teaching; how to determine the best flies, how to find fish on new water, how to use the appropriate cast, how to fish a variety of flies (Dry Flies, Nymphing, Streamers, and Euro Nymphs) the list goes on.

Just a few notes about hand tied and custom flies:
All bugs have an individual look. As do hand tied flies. Every effort is made to make a group of flies to look very similar.
Doing an exact replica of another tiers flies is not what we do. If you are willing to accept a close resemblance of another tier, I am very eager to make flies for you. Please know it will likely not be a one hundred percent match.

Both Semi and Full Custom Flies require a 50% deposit to begin your order.
Additionally, we offer a hand crafted and one-of-a-kind fly box.
Our artists will carve a fisherman casting, a fish leaping, your custom logo. Adding if desired names and dates. We have added specific rivers names of group fishing as Best Man Gifts for a Fishing trip to Aspen. These were filled with the appropriate flies to fish the Frying Pan and Roaring fork for their specific dates.
We have made the one-of-a-kind boxes for Father’s Day, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Group fishing parties and a few corporate events (these are hard as we can only carve a few at a time).
Both Semi and Full Custom Flies require a 50% deposit to begin your order.

Glamping Guided Fly-Fishing Trips
We have done several very customized trips in Colorado and Montana using local guides. We have found these trips rewarding for our select few clients and our team. Building a relationship with our clients to form a bond that future trips are as memorable as the first.

Our Chef is a Certified Executive Chef; he will work with you and your party to determine the appropriate meals to meet dietary requirements.
